Hummingbirds
May. 30th, 2008 10:13 amI've had three visits to my hummingbird feeder this morning. The third time, I was watching from an upstairs window, in which Gypsy was sitting.
After drinking deeply, the little male hummingbird flew up to the window and checked us out, for at least 10 seconds. I could have touched him, if the screen weren't in the way-- but I'm rather glad it was, as I suspect he'd have attacked either me or Gypsy! He was so close, the sound of his wings was like the buzz of a giant hornet rather than a 'hum'. Too cool.
