Yesterday my daughter wondered what Bittersweet Falls looked like right now. To my delight, the road there was clear (it's a bit remote) so here's what it looks like!





A closer look at the unfrozen channel of the stream.



Tracks.. these were BIG, at least 5 inches long. Are crow feet that big?

For the tracks my best guess is some kind of long-legged waterbird, a heron or something like that.

I wondered about that, but I haven't seen a heron in 2 weeks.. it's possible, though.

Oh, that is really gorgeous! I love waterfalls but frozen waterfalls are just incredible.
