Okay then.
Jan. 19th, 2022 08:42 pmFormer church's annual meeting is coming up soon. I had an opportunity today to look at the annual report that will be shared there. I saw this in the Pastor's Report:
“It was hard to say goodbye to someone with whom I worked closely. Even harder when the leaving represents at least on some level a failure on my part. I don’t know if the outcome would have been different if I had acted differently or sooner. But maybe there would have been a little less wear and tear on everyone. I know we all tried to work through various issues over several months. And I am thankful Carol’s new position is a good one. But it is still personally disappointing."
I'm stunned and kind of disgusted. First of all, she's never admitted to me that she felt any responsibility at all. Secondly, it's pretty bizarre to put this in an annual report. But I'm glad of it, as now I can be open about leaving because of a conflict, not as a career move. And I wonder how the tech folk will feel about it, as it really will be quite obvious that the conflict must have been with them. There simply wasn't anyone else involved in worship for a lot of last year.
