Black crowned night heron-- my second sighting of this lovely bird.





Woops, called this 'mergansers' but these are actually goldeneyes crossing Kingsland Bay.



The least sandpiper atop this stump caught my eye; I didn't realize until editing pics that there is a second on the other branch of the stump.

Oh boy are those sandpipers well hidden!!
I love the fact that the goldeneyes are looking in two different directions. It really works in the photo.
