
Bare trees across the creek. One is dead, one is just leafless already. If you look closely you'll see that there are 50 or more starlings. When I walked down to the creek, they were chattering away, and then all stopped at once, like flipping a switch; after maybe 15 seconds they started back up again. Not sure if my presence startled them, or possibly a hawk passed by.

Very surprised to see this lovely the day after our first hard frost.
