
A delightful encounter with a young red fox this morning-- and a perfect example of why my basic nature photography advice is "Take the pic NOW!" I had my camera around my neck, turned it on while I admired the cute little fellow, then lifted it and took a pic without making any adjustments except focus. Below is my second pic, zoomed in, maybe 3 seconds later:


On the other hand, this osprey hung around for about 20 shots.
