Pics-- Snowy Owls!

After church I checked my email, and found alerts about three snowy owls near my home! So when I arrived home, I dressed warmly and headed back out with the kid to see them. Two were still around. here's an adorably fluffy juvenile.

Closeup of the second bird. It was really quite comfortable with folks walking right up to the tree; it did glance at us occasionally but didn't stare or show any concern at all.

Excellent captures! I used to work with a snowy at the zoo; he was missing a wing after a collision with an automobile, very beautiful bird all the same.
