None of the ornaments are breakable, and in fact most of the lower ones have bells to amuse the cats. They've scooted the angels around a bit but never knocked them over.
However, the AeroGarden is in the fireplace because it's the only safe place in the house (and kid and I have allergies that make fires in the fireplace not very appealing).
