Someone has been busy! Clearly a beaver took this tree down within the last few days.





And this might be the culprit! I never got a good look at the tail, but it was very large for a muskrat, so I'm thinking small beaver.



It swam right past my feet twice.



I was trying to find the kingfisher I could hear in the trees, but found I had photographed a northern flicker instead!



Pretty sure this cute little thing is a song sparrow.
