The fire station just around the corner had an open house today. These two men have each been volunteers for more than 60 years!





Now I finally feel like we live here-- I can change our address! Oddly enough, this house has never had its own box, though the neighbors got them sometime around 1970. The original owner was the postman and just brought his mail home with him! And the recent owner was a bit eccentric and didn't want delivery here; they had a box at the post office around the corner and her husband picked it up.
