Sep. 15th, 2002 08:19 amWeek two of one-footed music went pretty well. I’m getting quite good at playing a modified bass line with my right foot (with registrations adjusted to drop it an octave). For quieter hymns I just play all four parts on one manual. Both of my solos today were very flashy manuals-only pieces; this all is doing wonders for my fingering technique.
Best of all, I got a compliment on my playing today-- from someone who hadn’t realized I was playing with only one foot. She was almost comically flabbergasted when she saw the boot. Choir is also being more helpful about leaving me a route to my seat in the choir, possibly because I was visibly in pain today (I want my Vioxx back!).
