Friday Five
Sep. 20th, 2002 11:36 pm1. Would you say that you're good at keeping in touch with people? Yes. Obsessive, even.
2. Which communication method do you usually prefer/use: e-mail, telephone, snail mail, blog comments, or meeting in person? Why? E-mail, LJ and AIM. I love talking on the phone, once the ice is broken, but it’s less convenient and more expensive. In person is wonderful when it’s possible.
3. Do you have an instant messenger program? How many? Why/why not? How often do you use it? I’m on AIM a lot.. still finding my way around, making connections. (I’m CayreMI... say hello sometime!)
4. Do most of your close friends live nearby or far away? At the moment my dearest friends are far away physically, but I’m beginning to make friends locally; we moved 3 years ago but I continued to commute to my old job, so in practical terms I’ve only lived here a year, not long enough to form deep connections (and the two folk here that I felt most drawn to both moved this summer).
5. Are you an "out of sight, out of mind" person, or do you believe that "distance makes the heart grow fonder"? *wince* I don’t easily forget people or let friendships end, but I often feel that others forget about me.
