kayreHaven’t posted much lately, so I suppose I should catch up. Let’s see.... Sunday went very well, even the duets which the pianist and I practiced together once each (okay, we did the offertory twice). Christmas music is pretty well in hand; I’ll practice early tomorrow, and then try to nap to be fresh for three services in a row. Luckily my personal masseuse (the kidlet) will be available to keep the ankle flexible; I’ll probably take my ice pack along too (and maybe a Darvocet for after the last postlude?). Associate pastor has even informed me of the hymn selections for the 9:00 service, but of course the senior pastor hasn’t completed the 7:00 or 11:00 bulletins yet.
Christmas shopping is finished, since my Amazon order arrived today; the horse is getting better; travel plans are more or less in place. In short, I have the illusion that life is Under Control at the moment.. which is probably a sign of impending doom, or at least the inevitable approach of Murphy.
