good omens?
Mar. 14th, 2003 09:17 pmI saw a redwinged blackbird today-- a much more reliable weather indicator than the robins, which don’t all leave for the winter. And at the church, I noticed some hostas poking through the soil in a sheltered corner. Maybe spring really is coming!
Kidlet and I watched a big redtailed hawk hunt his way up and down our ravine-- very impressive. Since we sit at the top of the ravine, we were nearly on his level, rather than watching from below as we usually do. I've seen two kestrels this week, too.
