Took a personal mini-vacation Friday, logged a few caches, had much fun. On the way home Saturday I began to feel ill, UTI symptoms. Phone-consulted my doc but he referred me to the ER. Around 9:30 that night I started to feel so bad that I was afraid of being unable to play in the morning, so we went to the hospital. My blood pressure was so high that I was taken straight in and my lab work begun right away, which was nice. Lab work revealed a fairly severe kidney infection (I remember commenting last week that my back hurt worse than my ankle after all my walking-- apparently the back pain was the incipient kidney infection.) Blood pressure began to come down, but then the ER got really busy and there was no time for the doctor to do my discharge. Then (at 1:30 a.m.) they got SO busy that they needed my room, and 10 minutes later we were in the all-night pharmacy getting my scrips.
Got home, crashed. 5 hours later, off to church, which went amazingly well considering how spacy I felt. Home to crash again. Feeling somewhat better now, and hoping that the meds will really take hold tomorrow.
