Project 365 -- sort of

Took nearly 200 pics today. Not going to be able to finish editing them tonight, but here are four token pics for the day.

Today and tomorrow are draft horse days at the Fair.

This beautiful creature was my buddy during horse pulling today.

Yes indeed, horse pulling. They were up to 8000 pounds on the sled when I had to leave, and at least 2 teams had made full pulls.

High tech measuring system. A full pull is 12 feet. The rope attached to this bottle is that long. Before the pull, the bottle is set behind the sled, with the rope carefully untangled. If the bottle falls over, it's a full pull-- so this pull was a real heartbreaker, about 6 inches short! (They do measure when it's close, just in case, using a stake that's also placed right behind the sled.)
