Nov. 27th, 2003 11:14 amI woke up before my family today and went walking (2.7 miles, bringing me to 423!). Saw the heron, a couple of different woodpeckers, said hello to lots of friendly dogs and their people. Towards the end of the walk, I stopped down at the dock, and immediately noticed the bright tan of freshly broken or cut wood on a tree to my right. It's the lowest branch of a tree extending over the river. There was no weather event last night to make it break, and the branch looks to me like it's been chewed off. I think our beaver have been back!
fernblatt , the pic is sitting in your email box... if you get a chance to post it, could you post the link as a response here? Thanks so much!
