Dec. 7th, 2003 04:23 pmHeart-stopping moment at Evelyn's funeral:
I was asked to play "It Is Well With My Soul" as the casket was removed at the end. I began quietly, and some of the choir began to sing along; at the chorus, they all joined in, quietly. I started a second verse a bit louder, and they hummed it in parts, and sang the second chorus gloriously, joyfully, in parts.
It was the right send-off for Evelyn.
