After reading about many of my LJ friends dealing with extreme winter weather, it's finally my turn. The temperature is 8F and falling. Not much new snow, but strong winds causing heavy blowing and drifting snow.
I had to drive 6 miles on the interstate earlier. I witnessed (and reported) one slide-off, saw emergency vehicles dealing with three wrecks, and saw 5 sets of skid marks and/or debris indicating recent problems. The interstate was closed 2 miles north of my exit because of a fatal truck/car collision.
I'm hoping tutoring will be cancelled-- but I doubt it, since the kids' schools weren't closed.
