Life's little rewards
Apr. 26th, 2004 04:16 pmIt's funny how it seems like the days when I drag myself out to walk despite low energy and lack of motivation are the days when something pops up and says, "hello, would you like to take my picture?"
Might be metaphysical rewards.. might just be that I walk more slowly and quietly when I'm low on energy. Either way, it makes for some neat pics!
We really do have black squirrels here.

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck.....

I took a few pics just because I was excited to see the radio-tagged goose and her mate back in the park; I didn't even notice the baby until I looked at the pics later.

I saw leaves moving across the pond. Lifted my camera and started snapping pics, without moving at all, and he swam right up to my feet! He was perhaps 6 feet from me when he dove to the bottom and stirred up a mudscreen.

The riverbank is edged with broken concrete, to reduce erosion. The sight of this dandelion wedged in a crack made me smile.
