This is actually a blended family-- the smallest gosling is Tag Lady (our radio-tagged goose) and her mate's only chick.



This is our other sort of heron locally-- a greenbacked heron, much smaller, and very camera-shy.



Giant wet gerbil? or muskrat?



A red sessile trillium-- no stem, and this is as open as it gets, unlike the regular red trillium.
