Purpose Driven Life
Jul. 6th, 2004 08:48 pmSummary: Maturity takes time, because we’re slow learners-- have to repeat ‘lessons.’ Keep a spiritual journal to remember and review progress. Be patient, don’t get discouraged.
My thoughts: Maturity takes time-- so why are we blitzing past the few good ideas in this book so very quickly? It really has felt like Warren is urging readers to change EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW. “Today we’re obsessed with speed... We want the quick fix, the shortcut, the on-the-spot solution.” Or a forty-day program? Other than that-- there’s just no meat in this chapter.
Class tomorrow, if I'm well enough.
