kayreAbout 15 minutes ago, I chopped veggies for tonight's soup, and put them in the crockpot; then I opened a can of chili for lunch, and popped it into the microwave. When the microwave suddenly stopped, I figured I'd popped a circuit breaker-- but the whole house is out, not just the kitchen.
So I tried to phone the kid-- and the ring goes immediately to a "the person you're trying to call is unavailable or out of our calling zone" message, both of which are very unlikely since she's on the way home from school, and basically never turns off her phone. I'm starting to wonder just how big the outage is! Guess I'll find out, since we'll probably go out for lunch when she gets here.
