kayreI needed a change of scenery today (literally) so I walked at Sarrett Nature Center. They've got about 4 miles of trails-- nearly half of them boardwalk. Doesn't it look fun?
As I turned a corner on one of the boardwalks, I heard leaves rustle close by. There was a baby opposum less than 5 feet away! He was hissing like crazy, but I could barely hear him. He backed away slowly until he felt safe enough to turn and scurry behind a tree. Mama was behind another tree 20 feet away, so I walked on and left them in peace.
