It's been a while.....

Today I walked from Barlow to the next village, Vincent. On the way over I spotted this hawk-- I believe it's a juvenile red-shouldered hawk.



Vincent is an odd little place. At its peak, it had maybe 50 houses, a gas station, a beauty salon-- and three fairly large churches. Now one church has been abandoned for years.....



... Another is vacant, and for sale.....



... And the third is still in use, but also for sale. (This is the church my in-laws are in the process of leaving, but that's another story.)
