kayreKinda melted down for a couple of days, but I think I'm back, though rather in "grit your teeth and get it over with" mode. I've lost track of the number of stupid decisions I've made that have frustrated me and other people, but at least I seem not to have damaged any relationships too badly in the process.
Is it weird that I'm sitting here flipping channels between figure skating and rodeo?

I'm always happy when I see something special early in my walk; in this case, I spotted this heron before I even got out of my car. I was surprised to see him near the pond, which is frozen over. Looks just a touch cold, doesn't he? We're right on the fringe of their winter range; most winters, at least one hangs around this section of river except for the very coldest few weeks when it freezes over entirely.
