kayreI really did take that long walk yesterday-- 5.4 miles! At the end I was frozen and footsore, but I did it! Lots of pics, so I'm separating them into two posts. This one's random pics, the other is cemetery pics.
Oh, that road I found on the map? Probably existed once, sometime before 1950. It looks like that's when the gaps between connecting streets were carved up into house lots, leaving a series of loop roads and courts.
Highlight of the walk, for me, was startling a smallish raptor downtown-- most likely an osprey. No pics, I didn't see it until it flew.

mactavish ... one of the businesses in our charming little downtown area.
Somehow the storm drain covers amuse me-- especially the fish. It says, "Dump No Waste/ Drains To Waterways"
I've driven down Lakeview Drive hundreds of times without every noticing the dragon....
The St. Joseph River, looking east from the Napier Avenue bridge. This is about 2 miles downriver from my favorite park.
Putting their footprint or initials in fresh cement just isn't creative enough for some people.
