Trophy pics

When you win a trophy at Fair, you get to hold it and show it off for only 2 hours-- then you have to turn it back in for engraving, and don't get it back until Saturday. This was taken moments after the kidlet reclaimed it, with her name added.
Our club always celebrates the end of Fair with a club photo shoot, with all ribbons and trophies together. (Yes, the young lady at the right has 8 trophies-- she shows two marvelous horses, and is very talented and dedicated.) We got everyone in place, and then struggled, as always, to get them all to sit still and pose at the same time. Finally one of the moms stepped forward, pulled up a big handful of grass, and threw it up in the air in front of them. They all burst out laughing, and then smiled for a solid 30 seconds while we all clicked away. (If you don't get it, keep reading....)
You see, in order to get a pic like this with the horse's ears perked forward, there's nearly always someone standing just out of view (my husband, in this case), doing silly things to get the horse's attention-- the most common of which is throwing grass into the air.
