Yes, more mushrooms (and really lovely dewdrops on the grass). Coprinus commatus, in this case. There are also giant puffballs in the woods, but the ones I found had all been smashed (deer love them).



A more mature coprinus-- in another day or two the whole thing will be a gooey black lump.



The misty quality of this pic is purely the result of bad photography. I'm good even when I'm bad.



Fewer herons this year, so I really appreciate them when I see them. Many mallards today; they are beginning to arrive here from the north.
