#4: Dinner with a Perfect Stranger by David Gregory.
The kind of book that makes me embarrassed to be a Christian. The perfect stranger is, of course, Jesus. Gregory portrays Jesus as "demolishing" other major religions with simplistic and flawed arguments, then "proving" that the Bible is true with similarly simplistic and flawed arguments. I read it because a member of my Bible study wants to know what I think of it. She can't possibly believe I'd like it-- I hope! Avoid at all costs.
#5: The Christmas Quilt by Jennifer Chiaverini.
Since the success of The Christmas Box, it seems that every major writer has churned out a little Christmas book. They're seldom great writing, but this one is at least a decent read. I enjoy Chiaverini's novels, and this was a fun glimpse into more of her characters' lives.
