Barns, birds and stuff

I was pretty excited about this little guy until I found out he's just an immature starling. Still kinda cute, huh?



If I weren't sure my ankle is fully recovered, I would be now. The trail I walked today is about 40% stone, 25% tree roots-- and this fun little spot. Today I had to go down the steps, which is more challenging than up.



Beautiful color despite the hazy weather. If you look at the hill in the background at the left edge of the photo-- I live at the base of it, a bit out of the frame to the left.
