Yesterday i said I needed to retrace our route on a sunny day. It was sunny today. :)

One of the nifty things about Vermont is that there are relatively few "Don't do this" signs (and when they are, they are generally polite, correctly punctuated, and frequently explanatory). One is allowed to park by the side of the road anywhere along this creek, and go climb around on the rocks, wade or swim, at one's own risk. Visit during an appropriate season and we'll go play!

I was very un-Zen today. After taking this pic and others, I climbed down to add a rock to one of the piles-- but the first rock I picked up was a lovely lump of quartz, so I kept it and picked up another for the memorial pile.
