I was hanging around taking pictures of this bridge when I noticed a cute lighthouse on the far side. I hate driving across big bridges but it was irresistable (and not as bad as I feared-- the bridge is very quiet compared to the ones that bother me.)



The Champlain Memorial Lighthouse today-- inactive since 1926, remodelled a couple of times. rokky1, recognize it?



The lighthouse in the past. Lake Champlain is only 1/4 mile wide at this point, the light helped safe navigation through the passage.
