I risked my life for these pics! So I want lots of appreciation!

Well, this one was safe enough. I took a bunch of pics of the drifting snow, for fun. But I wasn't sure if any of them would come out, so late in the afternoon I followed an impulse down to the Grand Isle Ferry landing.

The first part of the adventure was that I almost ended up ON the ferry. There's no warning-- you're on this little country road, and you come around a bend, and there's a tiny parking lot on the right, and then you're in the lineup for the ferry. I managed to turn around and get back to the parking lot.

So then I walked down the road towards the landing, watching as the ferry pulled towards the dock. So there I was on the road when the cars came off, and roared up towards me.

And, being a glutton for punishment, I kept walking down, and taking pics... so I was walking back towards my car when the last couple of latecomers came racing to make the 4:00 outgoing ferry. But I survived!
