Today was a tough choice-- the most interesting pic? or the most artistic?

This doesn't count, it's just for fun, to show how far I walked. See a white house near the center? And an evergreen tree to its left? My car is parked in front of that tree. In all, I walked about 1.8 miles on the ice.

I checked out the beaver lodge again. See the freshly cut branches at the top? I bet I could match at least one to its source on the shore. There's another lodge at the other end of the pond, but it has no fresh wood, so I wonder if the beavers didn't just move.

Canoes in the snow-- love the colors.

Swan in the snow.

Curve.

But for sheer interest... bluebird. In Vermont. In January. In the snow. It's 10F outside, silly bird!
Yes, I'd read just a day or so ago that more bluebirds are wintering in the north, but I was still totally stunned when two erupted from the brush near me. I took one set of pics blindly, at where I thought one had landed, and then took the camera down and just looked; sure enough, it was still there.
