My sewing project this week-- a dress jacket for the kidlet, for Easter and graduation. It's 3/4 sleeved and should hit just below the waist. That's actually an old dress of mine underneath; it's high-waisted so the proportions look a bit odd.



Maple sap boiler at Dakin Farms. The scent was amazing-- we only stayed in the room for maybe 2 minutes, but my jacket still smells like maple!



I'm noticing sap buckets around the area this week (even in downtown Middlebury). This is one of at least seven in a front yard in the little village of North Ferrisburg.
