kayreCemeteries and bonus kittypic (sorry Dave, Vergennes Cemetery is still padlocked).
I arranged to walk from one old cemetery to another today. I was surprised to see a Mason symbol on a grave this old, in this area.
This row of stones told a sad story-- three sisters, born consecutive years, died in consecutive years about 10 years later (different order). And then a boy, born the year the third sister died, himself dead at age 6.
Soon these stones will tell no story at all.
Part of my walk was along the Old Stage Road. Today it was easy to imagine horses' hooves and carriage wheels slipping in the mud!
