kayreOne of these birds is not like the other....
For a moment I thought I had a snow bunting in the yard, but it was too small-- exactly the same size as the 25 or so goldfinches, and behaving just like them, and similar markings except for the stark white body. It's a partial albino, with the black wing bars and pale yellow on the head, but otherwise white or VERY pale yellow. Even the beak is pale!
Note that there are two normally-marked goldfinches in each picture. They are easy to miss!
