Project 365
Mar. 28th, 2007 09:16 pmThese are not my usual feeder birdies!

I went out to Button Bay State Park today. Here I'm standing on the point of the peninsula, looking back.

I sat at the point for a while, sipping hot chocolate and watching the hundreds of birds gathered along the edge of the ice. In this pic are Canada geese and buffleheads; there were also mallards, seagulls, and a black duck I wasn't able to identify. I saw a blue heron as well, but couldn't get pics.

Gray squirrel in the woods.

Driving home, I was lucky enough to spot this kestrel.

Even luckier, got this shot as it flew away.
