I sat out on the porch today, and had the rare pleasure of taking a few bird pics without glass in the way. That helps with little details like being able to see this chickadee's eye.

This one is through glass, and mist, and from a distance, but hey-- bluebird in my backyard!

I think this house sparrow must be a fledgling, downy in places while the adult feathers are still growing in.

My little downy woodpecker again. It's the male, the red just doesn't show from this angle.

Unfortunately I startled these waterbirds before I could get a close pic, but I think what I did get is a pleasing shot.
