kayreToday's pics, and last week's beaver encounter at last.
I had been throwing small logs into the water; I think this beaver thought I was staking out his territory. He swam at us on an angle so he could see, then turned to swim straight across in front of us, then SLAP! He'd submerge, reappear further out in the water, and repeat-- 3 times before we walked away.
This was a rather desperate "the light is fading and I haven't taken a pic today!" pic... but I'm really pleased with it.
