Cedar Waxwing looking over its shoulder at me. I've seen them before, but have never been able to see those colorful wing and tail tips before!
This bird puzzled me, and for once I snapped pics rather than just staring. It looked rather like a winter goldfinch, but bigger, and it's summer. Looks a lot like a kinglet but WAY too big. After considerable time with my bird books, I'm pretty sure it's an immature Baltimore oriole, just beginning to molt.
The adult orange just growing in shows a bit more in this pic.
