kayreWhew... over 90F today. I planned ahead this time. Did all my housework in a hurry this morning, before it heated up much. Slowed down after noon, and now I'm hiding in the basement. Dinner is salad, devilled eggs (already cooked) and corn, which I cook in a steamer so it doesn't heat the kitchen up much at all. And we may eat down here at my craft table.
I brought a stack of mail downstairs to sort, and have stuff I can do on the internet. Ironically enough, that includes ordering wool socks for the whole family! We'll need them soon enough. (Done-- frightening to spend so much money on socks, but they are really good-- SmartWools-- and we really do need them.)
Later-- hubby called at 4:30 to ask how quickly I could serve dinner! So I leapt into action, and served 20 minutes later. His team decided to take an early break and then work into the evening rather than have to work tomorrow.
