The kidlet and I walked up Mt. Philo today! Here's the view from the top.



I love the color, of course, and the curved trunk.



Drove down to Dead Creek, also. Saw about a dozen herons, lost count (there are a couple more pics if you click through to Flickr).



I think this might be the same variety of duck as the flock we saw yesterday-- and I STILL can't ID it, despite the better pic. Grrrrr.



Saw a few snow geese today, too... say, 500 or more, just by the viewing area at Dead Creek Pretty impressive.
