The kidlet really does have a unique way of seeing the world; for example, we don't always agree on what color something is (pale pinks and purples especially). And she's never understood how I sort laundry into "darks", "medium colors" and "whites/lights". I finally had a brainstorm a couple of weeks ago.

We now sort laundry into "heavily color-saturated", "moderately color-saturated" and "white or very lightly color-saturated"-- and have virtually no trouble agreeing on which is which.
