Today was "Bible Day" at church-- this little one was happy with her new Bible.



While I was walking I heard a bird chirp very close by, in an ornamental cherry tree (I think). Oh look-- pine grosbeaks!



The fruit must have been very tasty.



Ooops!



This is another pine grosbeak-- a color variation that is apparently a northern thing. According to my bird guide, we're about as far south as the red ones are normally seen.
