Lifebird! Heard a loon, saw an odd bird in the right direction at max range for the camera, and snapped. Sure enough, my first loon! Heard it last year but never saw it.

Eastern Kingbird-- only my second, in exactly the same spot as my first sighting a year or two ago. (I've now received two emails on the Vermont list suggesting that my ID is incorrect. One of them is reasonable, though I still stand by the Kingbird ID. The other, however, seems to think this bird has a 5-7 inch tail?)
